Our G-1 can be worn as a privately purchased upgrade to standard-issue jackets by aviators who prioritize durability, comfort, and long-term wear.

While we are not an official supplier to the U.S. government, this jacket is designed to match the construction, materials, and appearance expected of a proper G-1. It is equally at home on the flight line or off duty.

Each jacket is handcrafted by skilled craftsmen from premium goatskin leather, chosen for its toughness, natural grain, and ability to age beautifully over time. Unlike mass-produced jackets cut on assembly lines, this G-1 is built with deliberate attention to detail and finish. It’s not a costume or a fashion piece — it’s a serious flight jacket built to be worn.

Why Our Goatskin Feels Stiffer at First

Our goatskin G-1 jackets are cut from full-grain,  naturally tanned and minimally processed goatskin, not pre-softened or heavily tumbled leather. That initial stiffness is intentional—and authentic.

 Many modern jackets are chemically softened before construction to feel broken-in out of the box. We don’t do that. Instead, we let the leather retain its natural structure, strength, and grain. The result is a jacket that starts firm, but breaks in with wear, molding to your body and developing real character over time—just like the original military-issued G-1s.

Fit & Sizing

• Standard U.S. sizing with a traditional G-1 fit
• Designed to sit at the waist, as original G-1s were intended
• Size up if layering heavily underneath
• Long sizes add 2 inches in body and sleeve length
• Custom tailoring available — message us after ordering with chest, shoulder, sleeve, and torso measurements (in inches)

Important Notes

• Jackets are sold without Velcro or unit insignia
• If your unit requires a name tag or patch, have them sewn on by a local shop
• Low overhead allows us to use the same materials — or better — than jackets selling elsewhere for $500+, without the inflated price
