F-15E STRIKE EAGLE — Heritage Aviation Tee

ALL-WEATHER. DAY OR NIGHT. ANY TARGET.

Born from one of the most successful air-superiority fighters ever developed, the McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle transformed the legendary Eagle into one of the world’s most formidable dual-role combat aircraft.

First flown on December 11, 1986, the Strike Eagle was engineered to penetrate enemy airspace at high speed, deliver precision-guided weapons against heavily defended targets, and fight its way out if necessary.

Powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 afterburning turbofan engines, the F-15E combines Mach 2.5-class performance with exceptional payload capacity, advanced terrain-following radar, and a two-person crew consisting of a pilot and weapons systems officer.

Unlike its air-superiority predecessor, the Strike Eagle was purpose-built for deep interdiction and precision strike missions. Its conformal fuel tanks extend combat range while preserving weapons stations, allowing the aircraft to carry an impressive combination of air-to-ground and air-to-air ordnance.

From Operation Desert Storm to combat operations over Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, the F-15E has established itself as one of the most versatile and combat-proven tactical aircraft in American military history.
